How we use cookies
What this page covers
This is every cookie snksurfaces.co.uk sets, listed by checking the site's own code rather than a generic template. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking or advertising cookie. The only cookies on this site are the three below, and each exists to make a feature you use actually work: staying logged in, remembering a form you were filling in, remembering what you have added to a request.

Why there is no cookie banner
UK and EU cookie law (PECR / the ePrivacy rules referenced in UK GDPR) requires consent before setting a cookie, with one exception: cookies that are “strictly necessary” for a service the visitor has actually asked for, such as staying logged in after choosing to log in, or remembering a basket after adding something to it. All three cookies above fall into that category, so no consent banner is required to set them.
If that changes, for example if analytics, advertising or embedded third-party content is ever added that sets its own cookies, this page and a consent mechanism will be updated before that code ships, not after.
Website analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics and performance monitoring tools to see aggregate traffic and page-load performance. They are designed not to use cookies and not to store data that identifies an individual visitor.
Browser storage (local storage)
Saved products (the wishlist) are stored only in your browser's local storage, not sent to our servers or shared with anyone, and stay on the device you saved them on until you clear your browser data.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies through its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will stop trade login and the request basket from working correctly, since that is the feature they exist to support.
