Coping Stones
Common questions about our sandstone, granite, slate and limestone coping stones.
Our coping stones are 1000x350x40mm across the range.
A pencil round (bullnose) edge is softly rounded for a clean, modern finish and comfortable handling. Sawn coping has crisp, machine-cut faces. Rock-faced coping keeps a rough, natural split edge for a traditional look.
The groove underneath stops rainwater running back along the underside of the coping, so it drips clear instead of staining the wall below.
It depends on the stone. Light sawn sandstone benefits from a breathable sealer against dirt, leaves and water stains. Granite and slate are dense, so sealing is optional. Our Jura Beige limestone coping comes factory pre-sealed.
The sealer is applied before the coping leaves the factory, so it arrives protected and ready to lay.
